BEO World 2026 Academic Competitions: Celebrating Excellence on the Global Stage

Every BEO World programme culminates in a series of academic competitions designed to inspire students to think critically, collaborate internationally, and communicate with confidence.
Throughout Easter 2026, students from around the world took part in challenges that tested not only their academic knowledge, but also their creativity, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Each competition provided an opportunity for participants to develop the essential skills needed to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.
BEO (British English Olympics)
Inspiring Communication, Creativity and Collaboration
The British English Olympics (BEO) brings together students aged 12–16 in an immersive international environment where English becomes a tool for communication, collaboration, and innovation.
Throughout the programme, students participated in a variety of academic and creative competitions designed to strengthen public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and cultural awareness.
The Speaker's Challenge
Students researched and presented two countries, exploring their cultures, traditions, and shared values while strengthening their public speaking skills and promoting a deeper understanding of global perspectives.
The Great Debate
A dynamic competition where students developed well-structured arguments, demonstrated critical thinking, and communicated their ideas confidently while engaging respectfully with different perspectives.
BEO Improvisation
A fast-paced challenge designed to test creativity, confidence, and quick thinking, encouraging students to communicate effectively and respond spontaneously to unexpected scenarios.
BEO Case Study
Working in international teams, students analysed real-world challenges, evaluated possible solutions, and presented well-researched proposals supported by critical thinking and collaboration.
BEO Tech Competition
A practical challenge where students explored innovative technologies and applied their knowledge to solve problems through teamwork, creativity, and effective communication.
Global Spotlight
A creative competition combining music, storytelling, and cultural expression, allowing students to celebrate diversity while delivering meaningful messages to an international audience.

The Masters
The Business Leadership Challenge
The Masters challenges participants to apply their academic knowledge to real business scenarios while working in multicultural teams.
Throughout the programme, students tackled a complex business challenge, conducting market research, evaluating investment opportunities, analysing competitors, developing implementation strategies, and presenting comprehensive business solutions before a panel of judges.
Rather than focusing solely on the final presentation, the challenge encouraged students to think strategically, collaborate effectively, and develop practical solutions with real-world applications.

A Special Message Before the Competition
As students prepared to represent Brazil at The Masters 2026, the Brazilian International School delegation received a special message of encouragement and best wishes from the Governor of the State of São Paulo.
In his message, the Governor wished the students success in the competition, encouraged them to represent Brazil with pride, and expressed his confidence in their dedication, talent, and ability to excel on the international stage.
This gesture reflected the support and recognition given to students as they prepared to participate in one of BEO World's international academic competitions, highlighting the importance of investing in young people who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and global potential.

WEE
Learning Through Innovation
The WEE programme encourages younger students to explore English through interactive learning experiences that combine creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Throughout the programme, students participated in a variety of creative and collaborative challenges designed to encourage exploration, innovation, and real-world thinking while strengthening their communication and teamwork skills.
WEE Research
Students explored real-world topics by gathering insights, interviewing others in English, and presenting their findings to their peers, developing confidence in research, communication, and presentation skills.
WEE Create
A creative challenge where students developed original content, including podcast scripts, to share ideas, experiences, and perspectives inspired by their journey throughout the programme.
WEE Design
Participants were encouraged to think outside the box by designing innovative solutions to everyday challenges, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking.
WEE Build
A hands-on activity where students worked collaboratively to create physical prototypes, promoting teamwork, practical thinking, and creative problem-solving.
WEE Connect
Focused on identifying real-life challenges and proposing meaningful solutions, this competition encouraged students to strengthen their critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills while making connections between classroom learning and real-world issues.
