BEO World Summer 2026: Learning, Exploring and Growing Around the World

Another summer of international learning has come to an end at BEO World.

Throughout Summer 2026, students embarked on three different international experiences across the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada through IEX London, U Next New York, and WEE Canada.


Each programme offered a different approach to learning abroad, combining academic development, cultural immersion, exploration, and opportunities for students to become more independent, confident, and globally minded.



IEX London: English Beyond the Classroom


This summer, IEX London welcomed students across three different groups at Wellington College, where they had the opportunity to experience English as part of their everyday lives.


The programme combined language learning with cultural immersion, allowing students to practise their skills both inside and outside the classroom while experiencing life in the UK.


Learning in an International Environment


Through interactive English lessons, students worked on their communication skills and built greater confidence using the language in practical situations.


Living and learning in an international environment also encouraged them to become more independent, communicate with others, adapt to new surroundings, and experience English beyond a traditional classroom setting.





Exploring the UK


Cultural exploration was an essential part of the IEX experience. Throughout the programme, students visited destinations including:

  • London

  • Oxford

  • Brighton

  • Guildford

  • Henley-on-Thames

  • Hampton Court Palace


These excursions allowed students to discover British history and culture while continuing to use English naturally throughout their daily experiences.




More Than Language Learning


Across all three groups, IEX London became an opportunity to experience a different culture, form new friendships, gain independence, and see how language can become a tool for connecting with the world.



U Next New York: A Look Into the Future


For students beginning to think about what comes after school, U Next 2026 offered a different kind of international experience.


Based at Pace University in New York City, the programme introduced students to university life while giving them opportunities to explore academic pathways, professional development, and one of the world's most dynamic cities.


Discovering University Life


A central part of U Next was giving students first-hand exposure to different university environments.


Throughout the programme, participants visited:

  • Fordham University

  • New York University (NYU)

  • Columbia University


Campus tours and academic sessions helped students gain a better understanding of university life in the United States and begin exploring the possibilities available for their future education.




Preparing for the Next Step


U Next also included sessions and workshops focused on topics relevant to students preparing for higher education, including:


  • International admissions

  • Transitioning to college

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Career development

  • Writing and standardized testing



Students also visited the United Nations, adding a global perspective to an experience designed to encourage them to think about their academic and professional futures.



New York as a Classroom


Learning continued throughout the city as students explored some of New York's most iconic locations, including:


  • Wall Street and the World Trade Center

  • Museum of Natural History

  • Central Park

  • Statue of Liberty

  • Empire State Observatory

  • Brooklyn Bridge

  • The High Line

  • Hudson Yards



By combining university exposure, academic preparation, and cultural exploration, U Next gave students an opportunity not only to visit New York, but to begin imagining themselves studying and building a future in an international environment.





WEE Canada: Language, Culture and Discovery in Toronto


WEE Canada 2026 transformed Toronto into an international learning environment where students could develop their English while experiencing Canadian culture first-hand.


The programe combined lessons with cultural activities and excursions, creating opportunities for students to practise the language naturally while discovering a new country.


Learning Beyond the Classroom


English lessons provided students with a foundation to continue developing their communication skills throughout the programme.


Outside the classroom, everyday interactions, activities, and excursions gave them opportunities to put those skills into practice while becoming more comfortable communicating in an international environment.





Discovering Toronto


Students experienced different sides of Toronto through visits and activities including:

  • CN Tower

  • Ripley's Aquarium of Canada

  • Royal Ontario Museum

  • Casa Loma

  • Hockey Hall of Fame

  • Woodbine Beach

  • Chinatown






These experiences brought students closer to the city's culture, history, entertainment, and everyday life.


One of the highlights was a visit to Niagara Falls, including Niagara Parks and the Hornblower experience. Students also spent a day at Canada's Wonderland, adding another memorable experience to their time in Canada.



Learning Through Experience


By combining English lessons with cultural immersion and exploration, WEE Canada encouraged students to communicate, adapt, discover, and become more independent.


Rather than learning about another culture only through a classroom, students had the opportunity to experience it for themselves.



One Summer, Three Ways to Experience the World


Although IEX London, U Next New York, and WEE Canada each offered a different journey, they shared the same purpose: turning international experiences into opportunities for learning and personal development.


In the UK, students strengthened their English through immersion. In New York, they explored university and professional possibilities. In Canada, language learning became part of discovering a new culture.


Across all three programmes, students stepped outside familiar environments, connected with new people, discovered new places, and developed skills and perspectives that extend far beyond the classroom.

Most importantly, thank you to every student who embraced each new challenge, destination, lesson, and experience with curiosity and enthusiasm.


The journeys may have come to an end, but the knowledge, confidence, friendships, and memories created along the way will continue long after returning home.
